Put on your dancing shoes for a night of rockin' Alberta blues with Calgary's blues/jump specialists The Du-Rite Aces along with Edmonton's own Jimmy Guiboche/Pete Turland Band together for the first time on one bill. This promises to be a night of non-stop house-rockin' music.
The Du-Rite Aces are a Calgary based roots roundup of blues, jump, rockabilly, western swing led by guitarist and bandleader Greg "Junior" Demchuk, a founding member of The Twisters from Vancouver and past member of Edmonton's The Rockin’ Highliners. In a career spanning over three decades, this retro-drenched guitarist has helped put the shake on dance floors from coast to coast and beyond across the pond.
The Jimmy Guiboche/Pete Turland Band are a guitar-driven blues, rockabilly and roots group based in Edmonton featuring Edmonton Blues Hall of Famer Jimmy Guiboche and Rockabilly whiz Pete Turland. There's always shenanigans-o-plenty when these two hit the stage together. Rounding out the quartet are Chris Grapel on bass and Scotty Anderson on drums.
